For RPG people
Yet another post pentru the RPG interested of ya'.
A fost Gen Con Indy, cea mai mare conventie de Gaming din state (si, ergo, din lume). Noi suntem in Romania, that's why nu ne potrivim cu ce zic aia de la White Wolf, dar oricum e tare:
"By now, you are either back from Gen Con Indy, recovering from Gen Con Indy or terribly depressed that you missed Gen Con Indy."
Indeed. Anyway, au fost si premii (premiile Ennie se numesc) si I was suprised and intrigued by some.
Some spotty interesting results and nominees:
Best Rules: Interestingly enough, Ars Magica 5th Edition. Acum, poate unii dintre voi isi aduc aminte ca subsemnatu' a vrut sa jucam odata asta ... apoi ati vrut si voi si eu m-am razgandit :P. Well, the point was ca atunci mi s-a parut ca jocu are niste reguli taaare obfuscante si confuze. On the other hand, aia era editia 4 pe care editorul a decis sa o distribuie gratuit pe net. Cred ca nici lor nu li s-a parut prea buna :P, si poate au fixat-o.
Best Adventure: O aventura dintr-un Dungeon #112, "Maure Castle" ... now, if you're thinking I intend to play this adventure just because it won the "Best Adventure" prize... you're perfectly right. ;;) Besides, it sounds cool :).
Best d20 Game (si nominee la Best Game overall): "Blue Rose" - now this thing is supposed to be un joc de "romantic fantasy" and really good at it. Now, I don't really know what Romantic Fantasy is like, da' sounds like the kind of game that might get more girls into this game :). Anyway, m-am uitat pe niste free excerpts (uitat does not mean actually read much) si not that bad. Maybe I'll try it ;;). Anybody up for some Romantic Fantasy ? :P
Best Game: (tadaaaaaa) Warhammer?!? ... hmm, well, Warhammer nu e RPG e wargame, dar, pe locul 2, World of Darkness. You know the big-momma-rpg that includes Vampire, Werefolf etc. So we might play that too :D, oricum mie imi place mecanica Storyteller (si Exalted, pacat ca nu si voua :P) si voi vreti sa jucam Vampire, deci poate o punem de-un World of Darkness. Si-asa n-am mai inceput un sistem de mult (not counting Star Wars of course :P).Anyway, can't wait to do some gamin' cand ajung in Bucharest desi greu pot sa-mi imaginez cand o sa am timpul sa fac asta. Probabil dupa examenul de fizica :).

In primul rand, am uitat de WTF!?! pentru ca acum au bagat word verification la commenting (good ideea... mai tii minte povestea cu reclama aia kilometrica ce era la un comment pe reviewuri?)
Apoi. Blue Rose is... pink! :P Chiar daca vin female gamers... nu vreau sa se transforme aventura in ceva telenovelic, sau prea siropos.
Vampire nu am jucat niciodata, right? >:) Yeah... daca imi aduc bine aminte, nu prea era cool deloc sa fii vampir, mai ales cu partea in care te urmareau vanatorii. Other than that... Exalted all they way! Dureaza sa faci personaje Exalted, si ultima data nici nu am mai apucat sa jucam cu ele O_o.
Vreau sa mai joc Star Wars! :P ca data trecuta am adormit. Nu ca Memo facea ceva interesant in joc -> zacea si el prin spital dupa ce ne-am jucat ca idiotii cu bomba aia :P. Poate ca nu eram obisnuiti sa gandim in joc la fel ca in realitate...
Hmmm... k, de Warhammer am mai auzit, la fel de Monte Cook (de la tine) dar de restul nada... Avand in vedere ca e din 2001 contestul, parca, inseamna ca s-a fumat deja tot ce tinea de DnD, Exalted, Star Wars,...Risus =)) etc...
Daca RISUS nu ma uimeste prin lipsa din nominees ;;), e uimitor ca nici un supplement de anu' asta de la WoTC nu a castigat ceva. Pe de alta parte, la Ennie-uri astia tind sa favorizeze chestiile de la producatori mai mici, mai independenti, stii?
Anyway, Blue Rose nu e Romantic in sensul de telenovela, ci in sensu' literar (curentul romantic & etc). Just don't tell that to the girls ;). Besides, m-am uitat and it's got nice features... like, pornesti cu de genu 4 featuri :D. :D :D. On the other hand, fara featuri clasa e basically lame, dar oricum.
Well, la Vampire, ce sa zic, ca si in jocul pe calc it's not that much about vampire hunters, you know? It's more about the internal scheming and machinations in Vampire society :P.
Exalted... well, Memo doesn't like it... Talking of which, daca citesti asta Memo da si tu un semn de viata, da-ti cu parerea. Da, fa-ti cont, ce e cu lenea asta pe tine.
Ah, si word verification trebuie activat (which I did) nu e automat.
